Finca Hartmann’s journey began in 1940, when Ratibor Hartmann established what would become one of Panama’s most esteemed coffee farms. Since then, the Hartmann family has become renowned as pioneers of specialty coffee, dedicating generations to refining their craft. Today, each family member plays an active role in cultivation, quality control, and production, preserving their legacy of excellence. The farm spans elevations from 1,300 to 2,000 metres above sea level, and its varied terrain, combined with the pristine environment, creates ideal conditions for growing high-quality Gesha coffee.

Gesha gained international acclaim when it was first entered into the Best of Panama auction in 2005, quickly becoming synonymous with exceptional quality and record-breaking auction prices. Finca Hartmann’s Gesha undergoes a natural processing method: the ripe coffee cherries are carefully placed on raised African beds, where they dry evenly over approximately 14 days until reaching 14% moisture. This process enhances the coffee’s unique and complex flavour profile.

Each edition in our Rarities collection is presented in six sealed 20-gram whole-bean doses, perfectly preserved to deliver peak freshness with every brew. We recommend freezing these doses upon receipt to maintain quality, allowing you to build a personal archive of rare, high-quality coffees to savour and enjoy over time.
