Origin: Colombia. Origin: Colombia. Origin: Colombia.

Think of spectacular of coffee, and Colombia is the origin that comes to mind.  With its dramatic landscapes, diverse microclimates, and generations of skilled producers, it’s no surprise that Colombian coffee is some of the most sought-after in the world. At WatchHouse, we work closely with incredible farmers and producers to bring you the very best.

Colombia’s coffee-growing regions are defined by their altitude and climate. From Huila to Nariño, the country’s mountainous terrain provides the perfect conditions for Arabica coffee to thrive. Many of the producers we work with cultivate their coffee between 1,500 and 2,200 metres above sea level, where cooler temperatures slow the cherry’s maturation, resulting in bright acidity and complex flavour profiles.

Huila, home to Alejandra Muñoz and the Hernández siblings, is known for its bright, fruit-forward coffees. Expect notes of red berries, tropical fruit, and a crisp, wine-like acidity. Meanwhile, in Nariño, Nestor Lasso produces coffees with remarkable clarity, often with delicate floral aromas, honey-like sweetness, and a refined structure. Fausto Calderón, based in Cauca, works with coffees that highlight deeper, chocolatey tones balanced with citrus zest – a profile that makes Colombian coffee so widely loved.

What sets Colombian coffee apart isn’t just its flavour, it’s the dedication to craft. Many of the farmers we work with use innovative processing techniques, including extended fermentations and controlled drying methods, to enhance the clarity and depth of their coffees. These approaches, combined with Colombia’s long history of coffee production, result in an origin that consistently delivers outstanding quality.

Choosing Colombian coffee means choosing a cup that’s rich in heritage, complexity, and innovation. Whether you’re drawn to its bright, fruit-forward notes or its deeper, chocolate-toned profiles, there’s a reason Colombian coffee is a staple for coffee lovers worldwide.
