Northcote Road.
Set on Northcote Road, the prominent retail and dining street in South West London, this House brings Modern Coffee to the neighbourhood. It draws from the layered character of the historic high street and its corner setting, where homes gradually opened into shopfronts and everyday life meets the pace of the street.
The layout follows a familiar domestic rhythm, moving from a front room that meets the pavement, to a central kitchen where the coffee counter anchors the House, and into a quieter parlour beyond. Terracotta-toned tiles ground the space, while painted timber panelling and stone worktops bring structure. Camphor burl, upholstery and warm light soften the edges, creating a space that feels considered and lived in from the outset.
Rooted in its surroundings, the House is part café, part shop, part living room, an extension of the Northcote neighbourhood, shaped by those who pass through and those who choose to stay a little longer.
