- Info.
Yonny Martínez is a first-generation producer farming in Aldea El Chalun, Huehuetenango. After working abroad for 17 years, he returned home to begin farming coffee and now manages 3.5 hectares, overseeing every part of production himself. The coffee is dry fermented, washed, and patio dried on site.
This lot, named La Palma, comes from a small parcel marked by a single palm tree which is rare in this part of Guatemala. It’s a bright, well-structured espresso, with raspberry acidity, mandarin aromatics, and a toffee sweetness. Distinct and personal, this is a thoughtful coffee from an emerging producer.
We have grown to love coffees from Huehuetenango due to their crisp, structured acidity and sweet profiles. This lot from Yonny's farm is exemplary of the attention of detail going into the process, creating these amazing flavours.
