This washed lot comes from smallholder producers around the village of Shakiso in Ethiopia’s Guji zone. The cherries were hand-picked and processed at Suqe Washing Station, one of several wet mills managed by Asefa Dukamo of Daye Bensa which is renowned for exceptional mill management and clean, consistent processing.

 

Grown at 1,750 MaSL on small plots planted with mixed heirloom varietals, this lot was fully washed and slowly dried on raised beds. The result is a classically structured Ethiopian cup that is refined, fruit-forward, and sweet, with balance that makes it an easy daily choice for filter.
