Peru, a land of rich history and breathtaking diversity, boasts stunning landscapes from the majestic Andes to the vast Amazon jungle and a magnificent 2,400 km coastline. As the eleventh largest global coffee producer, Peru’s coffee flourishes primarily at elevations above 1,200 metres, supporting the livelihoods of over 500,000 people across ten unique regions.

Despite small farm sizes and limited infrastructure, Cajamarca, the second most productive region, thrives with sweet and vibrant coffees. Volcafe Peru supports 6,800 farmers in three clusters. The Capili community, a cooperative of 197 farmers in Cajamarca, produced 7,000 bags of specialty coffee in 2022. Their commitment to sustainability includes saving 93.4% of their water usage, an initiative launched in 2020.

Origins
Brazil.

Brazilian coffee is cultivated at lower altitudes compared to some other coffee-producing countries, typically ranging from 800 to 1,200 meters above sea level.

One distinguishing feature of Brazilian coffee is its full-bodied and nutty characteristics. Common flavor notes include a rich chocolatey sweetness, complemented by nutty undertones. The low acidity of Brazilian coffee contributes to its smooth and mellow profile. Additionally, Brazilian coffees often showcase caramel and sometimes fruity notes, providing a well-rounded and approachable flavor experience.
