Harvested at altitude in the village of Taferi Kela, this lot comes from local outgrowers who deliver cherries directly to Bette Buna’s nearby station. It’s processed the same day using a carefully controlled extended natural method that adds depth and complexity without losing the clarity that defines top Ethiopian coffees.
Bette Buna, founded by Dawit and Hester in 2020, is rooted in family, regeneration, and community equity. What started as a two-hectare family farm has become a 50-hectare blueprint for change: distributing seedlings, restoring ecosystems, and crediting every worker involved. This cup brings all of that to life: bright, generous, unmistakably Sidamo.
It’s rare to find a coffee this expressive and this aligned with our values. Bette Buna are doing incredible work on the ground, and it shows in every cup.
