Rafael Cordova Alfonso owns and manages Finca El Mirador in Jaén, Cajamarca, Peru, cultivating Catimor, Bourbon, and Caturra coffee varietals on three hectares. Jaén is a key coffee-farming area at 900–1,950MaSL, known for sweet, acidic coffees with fruity notes. Rafael has been participating in the Volcafe Way program, focusing on quality, productivity, and resource efficiency since 2014. He supports various environmental, social, and economic projects, particularly promoting gender equity by employing mainly women, enhancing local workforce participation, and fostering financial independence. El Mirador contributes significantly to the community's income stability. Volcafe Way benefits over 6,800 farmers, aided by 32 field technicians from Volcafe Peru.
