- Info.
In 2024, Mió faced a tough harvest. Drought and heat pushed cherries past peak ripeness while still on the tree, one of the many effects of a changing climate in Monte Santo de Minas.
Instead of walking away, they turned to process. Using a 72-hour volcanic fermentation, they revived the potential of this Yellow Catucaí, coaxing out clarity and texture where others might have seen loss.
This isn’t just a workaround. It’s part of Mió’s long-term approach - using precision and fermentation to keep their quality high, even as the conditions grow harder to predict.
2024 was a difficult year for Mió, who were severely impacted by unforeseen weather patterns. Thanks to their experience with progressive post-harvest processing, the quality of the coffee is still excellent, evident in this bright and coating lot.
