The Warmikuna cluster, named after the Quechua word for 'women', symbolizes the empowerment of women in Peru's coffee industry. Since 2010, women producers have joined the Volcafe Way programme in Junín, thriving over twelve years with 55 women embodying leadership.
Six model farms showcase profitable sustainability, offering technical training to other producers. Volcafe Peru ensures quality with Q-graders and analysts. Volcafe Way supports over 6,800 farmers in three clusters, monitored by field technicians through four stages.
Beginning in 2014, the programme focuses on quality, productivity, and resource efficiency, offering training in sustainable practices and reforestation efforts on non-coffee areas of farms.
