Finca El Kusillo is named after a folkloric character from Bolivia’s highlands - a trickster known for dancing, teasing, and lifting spirits. It’s a fitting symbol for the Rodriguez family’s approach to farming: serious about quality, but grounded in celebration. Tucked into the Yungas forest near Caranavi, the farm is rich with clay soil and slow-growing Java trees that require careful, repeated hand-picking throughout the harvest.
This lot was processed using the Pink Honey method - fermented in cherry, then depulped with its pink-tinted mucilage left on. The result is clean, expressive and lightly structured, with notes of green grape, almond, and white tea.
Java is an exotic varietal gaining popularity for its floral and delicate profile. This lot was anaerobically fermented in cherry with a washed finish, enhancing its sweetness and clarity.
