Villamaria Natural (decaf) 

Decaf has always been seen as inferior, but for our decaf our goal was to achieve a coffee that was hard to distinguish as different to our caffeinated range, and would inspire sentences like “Wow, is this really a decaf?”. This is exactly what this cup provided, a clear orange acidity, balanced with sweet biscuity and milk chocolate notes.


We are lucky that our partners, Raw Material decided to try taking this high quality naturally processed lot and use it for decaffeination. The drying station sits at a lower altitude than the farms which make it ideal for better for processing excellent honeys and naturals due to the hotter temperatures. Then this high quality natural is processed using the sugar cane decaffeination method, widely considered as the most sustainable option. The quality of the initial coffee, the quality of both the natural and decaffeination and the fact that Manizales decaffeination plant is only around one hour away from Villamaria all contribute to the outstanding quality of this decaf.
