Carefully curated. Harmoniously balanced. 1829 Espresso is our seasonal blend of current harvest coffees - each sampled in our lab before being blended from single origin beans. Only the best elements are extracted, resulting in a cup that's full of character.
This season, we've selected a rich and nutty natural Brazil and matched it with the bright and chocolatey profile of a Washed Colombian.
We consider milk as a key ingredient in the overall recipe, creating a perfect synergy of sweetness and rich espresso. When paired with creamy Jersey cow's milk from The Estate Dairy, it has a wonderfully smooth, silky texture with undertones of ripe fruit.
Rituals.
A vibrant and sweet brew, this washed Nariño shows great flavour clarity and all of the elements hold great balance in the cup. We are currently showcasing this cups clarity on our filter bars as well as within all of our milk based coffees at WatchHouse.
The quality of this cup is a testament to a thorough washed process, cherries were floated to remove any initial defects before being pulped and then fermented in fresh water for 18 hours. The seeds are then washed twice with fresh water before a controlled 12 day drying.
Ezequiel, is a second generation producer who acquired the farm La Esparanza (Hope) in 2019 with a focus on elevating quality. We are delighted to share this, a lot from his first exported harvest with you and can't wait to see what Ezequiel achieves in the coming years.
