Floripondio, a pioneering coffee farm near Samaipata in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, defies tradition by venturing into specialty coffee in a region not known for coffee production. Located 120 km from Santa Cruz, its high altitude and unique microclimate with high humidity and cool nights, coupled with distinct soil, make Floripondio an ideal place for coffee experimentation. With over 60 coffee varieties from around the world, Floripondio boasts Bolivia's largest variety garden. After harvest, cupping determines the best-suited varieties for Los Rodriguez farms. The farm's name derives from native Floripondio trees, known for their dream-inducing properties, mirroring the dreamlike natural beauty of the area, including stunning viewpoints overlooking the Andes and the Amboró National Park, a biodiversity treasure.
